The SEC: Lone Superpower
The ACC had their shot last year. A bit of leverage with Notre Dame, and things could be looking pretty different right now headed into the 2021 season. But alas, no gutsy moves were made. And now the ACC, and others shrink before what will be the undisputed power conference in the nation. The S.E.C. Sure, the other conferences will make moves. In particular the Big Ten first I'm sure. But beyond those two conferences, what power can the others consistently bring? Is the B1G THAT good? The remaining conferences will be doing all they can to schedule outside conference matchups with the "big boys", in hopes of gaining more exposure and growing their programs. Otherwise, they are relegated to becoming regional entities. But, onto the Big Ten. What happens next? Well, think of old school Russia vs United States.
